Yeah, they do shed in big patches, I've noticed. That's all I can tell you, but reptile do grow throughout their lives, but just very, very little once they hit maturity. I know Melissa Kaplan's rock iguana, Mikey, is 10 years old and he grew over an inch this past couple years. I imagine the same is true for the Uromastyx but don't expect and huge difference.
