That is a very unfortunate situation. Sorry to hear about it.

Do you know if the guy treated the lizard for mites? Did you treat it yourself? We have seen chucks and other reptiles develop neurological problems from provent-a-mite and black knight residue. In mild cases, the reptile gets over it.
