ESPECIALLY my nebraska amel... holy cow... that snake can EAT! I could pick that snake up and shake the daylights out of her, throw her into a bucket of cold water, take her out and hastily dry her off with a towel and she would still eat!!! (Not that I would ever do that to one of my snakes, unless it was a 5 foot cali king named bandit and he just spent the past 15 minutes swallowing and lacerating my finger!!!)
