What kind of Turtles

My father-in-law found 2 baby turtles in his backyard while he was mowing. Some people told me they were baby box turtles and some people told me they were baby snapping turtles. We live in West Virginia and his backyard is the woods. If you need more information let me know and I will decribe them the best I can. Thanks!
