I have a pair of juvie orange Geyri that live in a large cage together. They have plenty of hiding spots, some nice and tight, some bigger. Everyday, early afternoon they both start frantically trying to escape their cage, digging at the glass, in corners and climbing the vents. They barely take time to stop and eat and are constantly on the move. I thought it might be because they are wild caught and hoped they would settle down but they are getting worse. Today they figured out how to get the slider door open and both escaped, one I found running across the floor, the other was found a few hours later. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this frantic digging? Will they ever tame down at all? Their cage is wood with plexi glass doors and I'm working on a way to lock the doors so I won't have any more escapes.
