If it is a young/er lizard they shed much more often than an adult. Some other factors can contribute to shedding in lizards that is quite interesting,( not saying this applies to yours) but when they have mites, thier body tries to rid itself of them and will shed frequently. Nature is pretty cool, tries to take care of you
I have had some that are a bit dehydrated begin to shed and it may just shed in small areas at a time, like you say, difficult to come off. I would "mist" with warmish water a couple times a day, and see if that helps. ----- PHEve / Eve
