Not to be argumentative but if it doesn't hurt them one bit why do they get medicated and treated? Or is that for ailments from other gator/gator activities?

In my view whether it hurts them or not is rather beside the point. It just doesn't seem very dignified for such an impressive animal. It's so 50's sideshow. In 2009 I think we can do better.

It is possible to do a thrilling educational show with these animals without these types of activities.

But your correct, opinions vary.
