It didn't cause any trouble, just people offering different perspectives. Personally I find alligator wrestling style shows repugnant and little more than carnival acts. They offer nothing other than cheap thrills at the expense of a captive animal.
We keep a large group of crocodilians and we rarely move the big guys. It is simply to stressful on them so it is only very rarely that we do so. No one likes to be close to them more than I do but I'm not going to drag one onshore just for a giggle. I can appreciate them from close range without roping and dragging the big fella out.
I'm sure everyone has a blast at these events-except the alligators. Ithink I echo pretty much what bivittatus said as well. I cannot tell you how many times we have turned down events because we refuse to do an alligator 'wrestling' show.
