I can only speak to the two pairs I have - Saharan and Ornate. The Saharans live together almost year round, except when the female is gravid (and for a few weeks after laying). The ornates can't be kept together AT ALL. The female is nasty as all get out. From what I've read, this is pretty typical of these two species.
I'm sure it varies wildly on an individual basis no matter what you get, so you'll have to be prepared to separate them at any given time, even if they live peacefully together for years. You'll need to quarantine when you first get them anyway, so just keep the second enclosure as a just-in-case cage for later. ----- Torey Eugene, Oregon, USA 1.1.5 Saharan Uros (Joe, Arthur, Waddles, Stilts, Hitch, Lefty, and one more) 3.0 Mali Uros (Spike, Turtle, and Tank) 1.1 Ornate Uros (Scuttlebutt and Shazzbot) 2.3 Collared Lizards (Ripcord, unnamed male, Thiamine, Riboflavin, and Niacin) 2.0 Green Anoles (Bowser and Sprocket) 1.1 Chubby Housecats (Roscolux and Jenny)
