I've read the care sheets from several experts and breeders and it said some Uro species do require a little insects to grow well (not too much), but I know on Deer Fern Farms they don't feed their Uro any insects at all. But anyway, according to several experts and breeders, Uro's supposedly love insects and will go to great length in order to eat some. I try feeding my Mali Uro's some crickets and they don't seem to like them for some reason. lol The big one ate 2 and never touch any crickets again.
