There have been so many posts asking about changing Candoia from feeding on reptiles to rodents that I thought these pics might be of interest.
I have hand-reared Fiji Boas in Fiji. I have no shortage of the house geckos they have eaten all their lives, but the snakes are getting larger and the geckos are not. So I have started supplementing with chicken hearts.
Here's how....
Once the snake has almost finished swallowing a gecko, I hold a chicken heart under it's tail and the swallowing just continues. I have managed to get three hearts into succession this way. Seems it might work with pinkies if you're having difficulty switching them over.
