I have never seen a vine snake drink from a water dish, have one in the enclosure for humidity, and mist the snake twice daily to ensure that it will drink. If you want an easy way out set up an automatic misting system. These guys require 80-100% humidity, and a temp of 80 - 90. UVB light is debatable but it cant hurt. Feeding is a breeze. These guys love day active lizards, I have had success with brown/green anoles and long tailed grass lizards. House geckos tend to hide during the day and are harder for these guys to find. Feed one to two appropriate sized lizards once a week. Make sure that the enclosure is heavily planted with either real or fake plants, and use a substrate that holds water, coco husk works well. Vine snakes are very alert and responsive when they settle in, they recognize the "lizard cup" and will get visibly excited when they know food is coming. Good Luck with your new guy.
