Hey Donna,

Congrats, she does look lumpy. Hopefully the eggs have been fertilized, and she gives you a good clutch.

We have always had better luck with nesting areas (vs. nesting boxes). I guess it just depends on what the female is comfortable with.

Austin and I usually incubate between 83-86. They take a bit longer at lower temps, but we are not in any hurry. I know some people prefer higher temps; 87-90, but we were not satisfied with our results at these temps. We, and another breeder saw a lot of tail kinks in chucks incubated at this range, though we didn't look into it further, and there may be other factors involved.

Anyway, keep us posted.
