If I may add to your drip system idea...

I used the ice idea for a chameleon I was...er..gifted. It was a tad too cold for a chameleon so more experienced cham keepers suggested that I use a plastic water bottle. I set up a water bottle with a little hole on the bottom and I can adjust the lid to get the flow I want. Works like a charm and cost nothing!
