I keep mine in a 10 gal aquarium with a couple inches of topsoil. keep the soil damp, not soaked. tiger salamanders do not like it hot, so 60 - 70 F is a comfortable temperature. Tigers have voracious appetites. Nighthcrawlers, crickets, etc. work just fine. The occasional pinkie mouse doesn't hurt every once in awhile. They can live for years.
