You'll need to provide the baby snake with everything an adult snake would need. Provide a dish of water, a hide box, and line the floor of the tank/container with paper towel or newspaper. You'll also want to provide a heat source since the babies tend to like it warm. Heat lamps or under tank heaters work fine. Heat bulbs can be bought from pet stores but the lamp fixture can be bought from any hardware store for much cheaper. Under tank heaters have to be monitored to make sure they don't get hot enough to burn the snake.
The snake likely won't start eating until it sheds. This should take only several days. After this you can try offering small crickets, little frogs, and lizards. I've found that they seem to prefer skinks more than anything else. Just be careful the skink is not large enough to hurt the snake since they can give nasty bites. Baby ground skinks or similar are very safe though. With a little work they can sometimes be switched to pinky mice scented with skink. ----- 1.0 sumatran short tailed python 0.1 ball python 0.1 rosy boa 0.1 corn snake 1.0 mexican king snake 1.1 buttermilk racers 0.0.2 texas rat snakes 0.0.1 broadbanded watersnakes 0.0.2 yellow bellied watersnake 0.0.1 diamond back watersnake 0.0.1 blotched watersnake 0.0.1 ribbon snake 0.1 Texas brown snake 0.0.1 western cottonmouth 0.0.1 southern copperhead 0.0.1 rattlesnake 1.0 bearded dragon 1.0 leopard gecko
