I have several Philbyi young adults from the shipment that came in about 2 years ago from Doug. These guys are great uros. There personality is very similar to Ornates, very calm and friendly (or at least my ornates). I have a couple photos below of 1 Male and 1 Female. Their care and temps, from what I have found, are the same as I keep all my Uros (Saharans, Benti, MacFad, Sudanese, Mali, Ornate, etc.) They do like to climb and so I have their tanks filled with slate and ornaments for them to move around on.
My female below was gravid this spring but sad to say she started laying then needed a C-section. So she is fine now but the eggs didn't make it so...
This newest shipment, the animals seem in pretty good shape compared to most normal imports. But make sure to keep an eye on them while they are acclimating. Any change in normal routines may indicate an issue. Make sure they are eating and I always keep a bowl of Rep-cal juvenile iguana food in for them to nibble on along with their greens.
I alway put a webcam on any new imports to see what they are doing and if they are eating. That way it doesn't stress them but you can see their actions.
