"Very nice. thanks for the pic. is there an issue with the snake and the exposed bulb?"

never have any problems besides larger snakes (boa constrictors and large basins) using them as a perch a night and unscrew them a bit. I have had 20 cages with exposed bulbs for several years.
and I have to feed basins after lights out because they will strike at the hottest thing in the inclosure instead of the f/t prey item, that's no problem with chondro's though they react more to movement than heat.

this kind of lighting isn't the best for life plants though.

Jurgen.
