if he could curl up his lower lip into his mouth, he had MBD. That is a serious calcium deficincy....were you supplementing at all with Calcium? I know repashi is supposed to be complete, but now i wonder if juvies need more calcium.....

Jaws aren't supposed to curl, seeing as they are bone. Thats the only thing i can think of....
