4 years ago I had 2 females lay a total of 10 eggs. 5 from one female were bad from the start. From the other female 1 egg went bad, 4 hatched and 1 offspring died soon after hatching. The 3 that hatched are now 3 years old and all turned out to be males after having them ultrasounded. Since that time I haven't had any eggs or breeding that I can say I witnessed. When they bred I had stuck them in my basement where the temps. stayed below 60 degrees. My rack sytem allows for the temps. in the room and their containers to be in the mid. 70's and the 4" heat strip raises the temp. to around 90 to 95 at the far end so they have a good temperature variant. For hibernation I now have a refridgerator controlled by a thermastat set to between 53 and 55 degrees and cool the down from Dec. 1st. to March 1st. Any suggestions or questions that might lead to an answer and what has worked for you?
