There's a lot of variation in adult sizes with boas from coastal CA localities typically being much larger than boas from the interior deserts, Baja, or AZ. If you have a coastal or coastal desert integrade and are comparing it to one of the smaller localities this could explain the size difference. Males also tend ot be quite a bit smaller than females.
