keeping chuckwalla in south florida?

Hi all,

Does any one have experience keeping a chuck in S. Florida?

I am worried about ways of keeping the humidity level down in a cage. It is safe to use a de-humidifier near a cage?

Due to my living situation, it would be easier to keep the cage in an enclosed sheltered patio outdoors, but am not sure this would be possible or necessarily a good idea for the chuckwalla.
