I just joined this forum and only just recently got my first reptile, my mountain horned dragon named Sandra Dee. I'm not sure about the age but she is 4-5 inches long, brown with black markings. I'm going to guess she is A. Capra but I could be wrong so i'll post again with a picture.

I've had her for about a week and she seems to not be at the peak of her health. I got her from a reptile expo from a reliable seller, and when i got her she seemed in perfect health. I haven't seen her drinking very much and I thought maybe this is the problem. I know that mountain horned dragons need running water but I was unsure of the best method of supplying this or brand of waterfall needed. I was hoping someone could shed some light? (I'm not really sure how to do that whole stream thing it was talking about on the care sheet for this site.)

Also, I was wondering if my cage was big enough for her at this point. I have a 2 1/2'x1'x1' terrarium for her, as I was unaware at the time of purchase that i needed such a large terrarium and the seller suggested I get a 30 gallon tank for her. I do intend to get a bigger one at some point but I was also wondering if this could lead to her sluggishness.

A couple more random questions...

Do they usually run after their food, such as crickets, to catch them, or do they wait for the food to come by before pouncing?

What is the best kind of calcium/vitamin supplement available at local pet stores, such as petco or petsmart?

Thanks for helping out!
