got my green!

I finally purchased a male green anaconda! I was actually planning on going through Ben, but I picked up a male at the sac reptile show. It inst a cb but actually a farm breed. I was very skeptical of anything other than cb, but I sat down at the booth and held him under the light and warmed him up and he had no intent to bit at all, also no intent to get away... I was nervous as all hell but I went through with it and love him!

I took him home and got him situated. hes quite fat, and after one week, I got him to take a young rat! I was soo excited as this is where I thought I would be spending a lot of time! Also I hold him daily and he is doing very well. he is already venturing out of his hide all the time. And to this day has not attempted to bite me once, its almost weird. When out he is very alert, and moves around investigating. He is a big fan of finding the warm spot on my body and settles in!

I look forward to many years of growth and enjoyment with my boy!
