Two things come to mind (without a picture).
1) Not very serious...if you have a male tegu, sometimes they evert the hemipenes as they have a bowel movement. You'll see two pink hemipenes that come out and then go right back in.
2) Can be serious...a prolapse cloaca possibly from straining to have a bowel movement. Pink/red tissue remains outside of the cloaca at all times. The best thing is to keep the area moist (preferable with saline like contact saline solution) and house the lizard on a clean, moist surface. It might go back inside within 24 hours. If the tissue does not go back on its own, call the vet Monday. If the tissue gets dry and/or infected, it could die and cause serious problems for your tegu.
