I'm having this issue myself. The vet put my new cham on Bayril because she has old sores on all of her feet due to MBD and climbing on wire. She's missing toes or toenails on each foot. Anyway, every morning I give her an injection of Baytril in the muscle of one of her front legs. Every time, the skin has turned BLACK, but has returned to normal by night. It makes me very reluctant to give her injections, but I do think she benefits from them, so I'll finish them up. (As long as her skin returns to normal, that is.)
I guess my suggestion is to alternate injection sites.
