Not to climb on, but sap oozing from cut stems might cause some trouble. Eucalyptus will be sticky where sap oozes, but the bark in itself is not really toxic. My cockatoo LOVED chewing on it. I would remove leaves, really flaky loose bark, and scrub off sap. Oleander is toxic...one reason it is used along highways...it grows fast, is tough, and nothing eats it.
