I've finally got my small (1m long 225gm) males together with a beautiful female (2m long, 1500gm). I was really worried about the size discrepancy (thought she might either eat or ignore them) but they both went for her immediately and within 30 minutes they were all tangled up and tails were twirling.
Here are photos, I'm leaving them in together for the next 3.5 weeks, and am just hoping to see ovulation and of course eventual pregnancy. Will post more photos and info as things eventuate: these are wild caught and captive born C. bibroni bibroni in their native environment, so we may be able to give info on temps and day length etc.
It is now just the end of our winter and temps are warming up to about 28oC daytime, 24oC night, from 18-20oC night and 26-28oC day for the past 3 months.
Fingers crossed!
