>>Hi all, my FRT's bleeding badly underneath the thin, membrane-like skin on his abdominal plate (plastron?). He's very weak now. The bleeding started 2-3 days ago. It happened before, not like this bad though, but once I removed some hard objects out from the tank, he recovered. This time all of a sudden he became very skinny, not as active as before. He still feeds but with much less power. Does anyone know what might've happened? How to treat this kind of problem? To avoid drowning, I took him out of the 60gal tank and place in a small one, on top of some towel with shallow warm water, and applied some herbal medication supposed to stop bleeding. I'm very upset...thinking he probably would not make it this time((

>>A million thanks to any advice!!

The best advice I can offer is get to a vet.
