I have very hard water here in my area and have never seen defecation problems with any of my bloods. They usually go every 4 to 6 weeks on 2 to 3 week feeding intervals with two ex-large rats per feeding. I think the main key is hydration, and with bloods that means fresh water every other day if possible. For some reason bloods are reluctant to drink water that has set more than a few days.
