Here's the deal. I just got some FBT's from a local on craigslist. They was setup in a large plastic kritter keeper. It had large smooth river pebbles sloped for land and water area. It had about 2-3" water depth. The water was pretty nasty/dirty.

I'm gonna set them up in a 10 gal. tank. I was wondering what's the max water depth? Reason I ask is, I have one of those Penn Plax small world fiters and like 10 extra cartridges from when I was trying to raise baby zebra danios. I was thinking of just using this little filter in the pond area to help keep the water clean.

But the filter is about 5" tall so the water would need to be about 5 1/5" deep. I guess I could put some really large river rocks in the water area to make it not so deep?

I know tetra makes a internal filter and can made into a waterfall, but I'd rather not go that route. I'n my 10 gal. there will probably only be a max of 3 gal. in the water area, maybe not even that much?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve
