Posted by: adamjeffery at Wed Nov 25 10:18:50 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by adamjeffery ] my buddy lives in ft lauderdale and he uses a window ac unit he only runs it when the temp out side requires him too. he replaces it about every year and a half to 2 years. you would only need a cheap one to cool a space the size of your shed. they run about 100 bucks or so. also he uses a regular house box fan to help with the smell. the ammonia doest effect the coils like youd think the major problem he has with his units is the dust causing the unit to overheat. hope this helps. i will call my buddy and see if he has any info to add.
