Posted by: sra at Thu Dec 3 14:21:23 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by sra ] My boyfriend has a baby crested gecko, it is kept in a small shoe-box tub with a long vine for climbing (that has fake leaves on it), with paper towels as a substrate along with a water bowl. He feeds it repashy diet every night, sometimes every other night. I took the gecko out today and noticed that it's toes are malformed. It looks like some are stuck together and the tissue is dead. I keep snakes but from what I understand geckos can have stuck shed around their toes and left untreated it can kill the tissue. Well I would try to take the skin off but all I see is just dead tissue. I think it might be too late. I can try to get pictures later but I don't have my camera with me. If anyone has any imput on what to do in the meantime, that would be great. We are going to make a vet appt for the gecko but cannot do it until next week. Thanks gecko lovers!
