For your python, do you want mist to maintain general humidity or actual drinking? If it is general humidity you could do that with an ultrasonic room humidifier and some pvc or flexible tubing to aim the fog into the tank. Cycle the humidifier with a multiple setting timer. You'll have to modify the tank top so your snake can't squeeze out. Or, provide a wet hide box like the BRB keepers do. Very simple. If you have a naturalistic tank setup you can hide the box. If it's nice effects you want, a fogger can do that easily.

For that small a tank you won't need much of a system. Most "systems" offer multiple nozzles, high pressure pumps, programmable timers, etc. and will be overkill unless you have a timer that can provide very short misting cycles (down to seconds). You might consider buying and assembling the parts yourself rather than buying a system that will mostly not get used. You'll need a pump (some can run dry safely, others can't), programmable timer, water reservoir, nozzles, pressure tubing, plus the barb and cable clamp fittings to connect everything together. I haven't built my own from scratch, but many folks do. Here are two brands which can offer more than you need.
