Hi! Congrats on your first snake! You picked a good one for your first! No "special" needs, just keep the proper temps and enough hides and you'll be ok. Hold him/her often. He/she might be skittish at first, but if you hold him/her everyday for about 10-20 minutes at a time, it will calm down relatively quickly.



If you would like to know more info, I recommend looking up Melissa Kaplan's website. (she has many) They're very informative.
