We had 4 aquatic turtles living in peace in a 150 gallon pond. 3 red ears and one map or mississippi mud (not 100% sure which kind he is)
About 3 weeks ago we adopted 3 other red ears from our local animal shelter. All turtles are nearly the same size except for one which is about 2x the rest.

Now, 3 of them are picking on all the others. it seems to be 2 of the adoptees and 1 of the other ones. The worst offender is the smallest! The largest turtle is very tolerant and does not annoy anyone.

As of yesterday we have separated the 3 bullies into a smaller tank to prevent injuries from bites. But They cannot live this way forever.

Any advice? We would prefer to reunite them all into the pond.

Thanks
