Yes there are internal parasites that can travel to other cages and one example of that is Chlamydophila psitaci, that can travel through air and infect your whole collection.

Other stuff like Cryptosporidium need to be carried to other cages via the husbandry equipment, hands, etc, but the oocysts are extremely resistend to almost all kinds of desinfectants, lasts for a long time in the enviroment and has no treatment so far.

These are only examples and there are also many other factors such as stress, bad adaptation that could lead to death of the emeralds. This is especially true with this species as it is very fragile.

Considering the costs with vet checks, drugs, treatments and stress will may go thru, WC are really not worth.

CB northern emeralds can be bought for around U$500 and sometimes a bit less. A WC U$200 emerald may cost you another U$300 in the next few months after you buy it, with no garantee of success.

If you still want WC, read all caresheets you can find, be very patient when feeding (small prey items and long intervals for the first 6 months) and cross your fingers.
