Giving this is a feeder forum, probably not the best place to ask about a pet rat. We do have an exotics forum www.exotichobbyist.com for rats as pets.

However, when it comes to tumors, only way to 'treat' them is to take it to an exotics vet. If the tumor is benign, it can be removed. If cancerous, then probably best to just have the rat euthanize.

Tumors can be painful or just uncomfortable, depending on their location and if they are cancerous or not. The behavior of your rat is about the only real indication if it is suffering.
