Our four year old jungle carpet x diamond python seems to have had a immediate personality change. Nothing has changed in his enclosure, temps, humidity, etc are the same. Where he usually spends his days in the branches of his enclosure, the past week he's either in his hide house (which he usually only uses the few hours after eating) or curled somewhere else on the bottom of the tank. That we've seen, he has not left the floor of the enclosure. He does look like he's in shed, and we see the tell-tale signs of an impending bowel movement. Along with not climbing, he's also much more aggressive than usual. When my husband misted his tank yesterday, he hissed like never before. Tonight, when we took him out to soak him (recommended by the vet in case it's obstipation) he was very vocal--the first time in all these years I've ever heard him hiss. We were able to soak him without any real aggression, but still, his actions are not his normal. Also, I see a small brown dot on his upper lip under the eye that was not their yesterday. It does not look like an injury, just a darkened area. Any advise is appreciated.
