Its nice to see a responsible owner with some common sense speak out. That being said, I dont think they need to banned, but honest and responsible owners with the resources SHOULD be allowed to keep these animals. It's my opinion that there really is no need to breed common burms, retics, red tails, etc... etc... for general resale. The market is saturated with these animals and you can get them free all day long.



You will see the most vocal (and ignorant) responses are coming from breeders and resellers of these animals. They are worried about their wallets only.
