Bulb wattages are irrelevant. The important detail is what temps are produced, and surface temps specifically.

This type of problem is most often a substandard temp problem, basking specific, that builds up over time. Metabolism and bio systems aren't running nearly well enough, and infections and other issues set in.

So what are your specific temps?
