I would not worry too much about keeping the pair together. I had a pair together for three years until the male died.

I never did get eggs but breeding seemed to be triggered by changes in the humidity. That being said I would use something different for a substarte that can hold humidity a little better.

The female I had would love to climb, so some branches probably would not hurt. The only problem is when I had to take her out the branch had to come with her.

Here is a pic of my old male. He probably died of old age. He was a w/c import so no telleing how old he was.
