Posted by: vegasbilly at Thu Dec 24 15:17:43 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by vegasbilly ] I received a comment the other day regarding my 11' female Bar Neck being "iffy" in regards to a successful breeding. The inference is she's not big enough. I grow my snakes slowly, I received her 4 years ago as a 3' snake so its taken some time for her to attain 11'. I'm assuming she's app. 5-6 years old now. W/power feeding I'm sure its possible to have a younger snake at 11'. My question is at what point, if any, does age trump size in regards to fertility? Personally I'll take age over size all things being equal but am curious to others' takes on this. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
