That caresheet on BTS.net makes it sound like you need to be a genius to keep a bluey.
I have 39 blueys, ranging from Northerns (Kimberleys and Classics), Blotchies (Lowlands), and Easterns - and all mine eat dog or cat food.
In regards to UV - well there is no proof that they need it, and the only proof that they don't need it is the MANY years that people here in Oz keep them without UV. If you wanna save some $$, you can do without the UV lighting and suppliment it by giving them Calcium with D3 powder on their food, as well as other suppliments like Herpivite.
baby blueys need Meat. more so red meat. as stated herpivite is good to use, so you can feed using good quality dog/cat food and just add the herpivite and calcium with D3 powders to every 2nd feeding or so. ----- 'In Nothing We Trust'
