Sorry about your loss of a favorite snake. The same thing happened to me with my favorite king pictured below. It drove me out of the hobby and I sold off half of my snakes except 3, and I am just getting back into it again.

I went on a weeklong fishing trip, and I came down and he was dead curled up inside his log looking perfect.
