I just wasn't sure if they would have the "common sense" to choose the safest places and/or to know how deep to dig. Afterall, I've read that the mortality rate is higher for the younger turtles.

Again, thanks for all the encouraging words! I do feel better about them, now. And the weather didn't get as bad as predicted. We should be good for the rest of the winter!

BTW, they are 3-toeds (sp?)
