yes, my snake room is heated & no, they do not rub on the screening although perhaps some wild caught's might. some of the main advantages of using screening are the cages aren't heavy at all, it allows tons of natural light in & actually keeps their living quarters fresher as it allows good air flow. here's another big one i built for my cribos but is now occupied by 2 monster bullsnakes.......
