I am unsure if this is true; because i keep them singly, but if at all possible, i would set up a larger tank with a mixed group. Plant the tank heavily, with large leafed plants and cork bark. Maybe a 3 female 2 male group would work? Allowing for enough room for separate territories (maybe at least a square foot each) may help the group.
