That's a tough call..i'm having the same issues. The best way is to get a sexing loupe and check for preanal pores. males will have 2 rows of them.
It is really a crapshoot when it comes to cresteds when they are at that stage. It *looks* to me from the shot that you may have a possible male..but there is no guarantee on that pic. Maybe an underside pic may clear things up a bit. -----
