Interesting tid bit from the horses mouth:
157 burms caught in several different areas for DNA research purposes.
154 WERE DNA RELATED.
the other 3 were related unto themsleves.
Also the original source of the burmese is a roadside zoo called/owned by someone named Bill Blackwood?(sp, name)
or Blackwood Zoo( didnt quite catch the correct name)
Of whom reported to the authorities after ANDREW that he lost quite a few burmese, and No one went out to do anything about it.
I honestly, believe the population was started by these animals and NOT released pets. To drive to where these "pets" are being found, is over a 30 minute drive for most if not more, and in the middle of nowhere on a two lane road. I think SOMEONE would have seen people throwing out a snake atleast once, if it were true. HUNDREDS of fishermen drive this road to go fishing DAILY. Now I DO believe any snakes found not related to these, is becuase the media and accusations of people doing it(releasing) which are false to begin with, gave the idea to those who said screw it, if the media and people are saying they let them go, I never thought of that, so now I have that option. The publicized false information, thus now turning into true.
